New Skills for More Chance
International Training Course
Youth Alliance AISI has successfully finished the implementation of the Training Course “New Skills for More Chance”.
“New Skills for More Chance” reunited a total of 28 participants youth leaders, youth workers, volunteers coming from 14 countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Moldova, Bulgaria, Latvia, Turkey, Romania, Portugal, Estonia, United Kingdom, Italy, Ukraine and Georgia.
The main aim of the project was to empower unemployed youth to gain new skills which help them to raise self-esteem, to encourage them to take an active role in society, to develop ideas and plans to fight unemployment and to raise their chances of getting employed.
During the training days, participants attended a variety of workshops. The first day was dedicated to create a nice learning atmosphere and build the team. During the next days, participants explored topics like: how to choose a career based on personal traits, perspectives of job markets and economic situation in the European countries, stereotypes and job placement, self-introspection and awareness of own values, soft skills in particular non-verbal communication, role plays with the aim to improve behaviours during a job interview and train spontaneity and creativity, conflict management, entrepreneurship skills and creation of new ideas for business. Never the less, participants presented their sending organisations and worked on new project ideas for youth.
The training was held in Kobuleti and allowed the participants to meet the local cultures and enjoy Georgia in their free time. Apart from this, the participants have enjoyed one day discovering Batumi city and a Georgian night filled with traditional dances, music and a lot of food. All the participants were excited by the training agenda and the new info they acquired, they made life-long lasting friendships and fell in love with Georgia.
